Working German Shepherd Dogs with Balance!!
Born October 4, 2006
"F" Litter von Wolfstraum
After carefully considering the progeny so far from Bianka and having only one opportunity to import her bred, I have chosen to use SG Gringo v d Mohnwiese for my "F" litter. Bianka is the dam of a male I have raised and trained, Danger v Klipgaarden, BH, AD [now co-owned with Alex Whitelock of Calais, VT], already SG rated and well on the road to titling. Danger's temperament and conformation are exceptional and I am confident that this combination will be successful in producing another litter of that same caliber.
Bianka took time out from training for her IPO2 and 3 to produce a litter to Zender Lusondai for Kennel van Klipgaarden in Belgium, in the winter of 05, which we will "honor" by skipping von Wolfstraum E litter, therefore acknowledging the outstanding young dogs Bianka has produced in Europe. While not even 4 years old, several of her progeny are working and impressing people in Belgium, Germany and Norway as well as here in the US! Thanks to Jon Gjerpe and Ben Everatts for all their care and work with "Basha" and finishing her titles to a Schh3 this summer - always Pronounced in Protection!!.
The "F" litter combines elements of Bianka's proven ability to produce working dogs, using a very highly regarded and producing son of Tom Leefdaalhof as a conduit to both Orry v haus Antervpa and to Siggi Seingold who was the dam of Mike Weiss Sandgruben - sire of Harro's dam! - and a prominent producing female. Another top competition dog in Belgium this year, Blitz v Burg Kurzwallen is a son of Ufo from a Tom daughter - thus confirming that the combination of Orry's and Ufo's progeny is a successful one!!! There were five Ufo sons in this years WUSV, and 3 grandsons, all Zidane Leefdahlhof sons, himself on the Belgian team. Ufo is indeed a top producer, and his progeny are very successful. We are extremely pleased to have the ONLY SchH3 daughter of Ufo in the United States!
This breeding brings in Mink though one of his most prominent and highly successful sons, Jago Lindenhalle, maternal grandsire of Gringo. This inclusion should reinforce all the elements already present in the pedigree, maintaining drive, grip, super nerves, and a degree of handler hardness, while not "overloading" in any area. The pups from E van Klipgaarden, her previous litter with Zender Lusondai, and those from the Orry son, "Harro" - Q v h Shiho, are proving this young female to be an outstanding producer, with exceptionally nice conformation, great nerves, stability, and drives. The pups that Gringo is producing seem to be consistently of this same type, and thus, we feel that Gringo and Bianka should produce super sport prospects with great nerves and high drives while maintaining the strong and stable temperament needed to function as companions, SAR or AKC competition dogs as well!
At nearly 6 weeks of age, this is proving to be a very consistant litter in drives and confidence. All pups are outgoing, very "mouthy". They explore their surroundings with elan and curiousity. They play hard, both with toys and with each other. Food drive is tremendous. All show potential for working - and depending on the commitment of handler and training available, should not only suceed, but exceed their handlers goals.
Two puppies are available to working homes.
